weekend I headed out to place my first letterbox and now can't wait

there during x-mas weekend bringing the goal of boxing all fifty
states before the end of the year.  Anyone going to Hawaii.Ha!
Heres my clue:
There is a bridge that leads North
I believe the trip is all the worth
It crosses a lake call Pontchartrain
The trail was once traveled by train
The old steel rails paid the bill
For a Town called Mandeville

A Dalmatians owner puts out a spark
By their house is where you will park
You can walk it or bring your bike
It is up to you what you like
The afternoon sun is the only beast
So head down the path to the east

Before you leave fill your bottle
Or your walk will become a waddle
It is a little far but with no hills
The highest thing should be your will
At a distance of 3.6
Bring more than just Trail Mix

Count five bridges and begin to boast
The link is at the first silver post
14 paces to a degree of 310
You're almost there so give a grin
Set your sights to a degree of 200
35 paces is all that needs to be said.

General Information:  Mandeville, LA. 24 miles north of New Orleans
Tammany Trace at  Mandeville's Trail Head
1 of 4 boxes planned for this trail

Great job placing a box in Louisiana!  Proud of you!!!  I wish I could say I
am going to Hawaii or the Dakotas sometime this month, but it won't be

just a dream.  Hopefully, some brave letterboxer will pick up the ball and
run with it up that way, or someone will go to Hawaii or have to go to
